The Thousand Nights and One Night, which is the direct translation from Arabic, tells us at the beginning, in the Dedication, that the story preserves "the tales of the first dwellers to be a guide to the last !"

Few people have heard the full and unabridged Tale of The Arabian Nights.

I read it once and could not put it down for ten days.

I resolved many years ago to read it again.

I did not imagine reading it aloud, but neither did I dream that podcasting would turn up and allow me to read it to the Whole Wide World !
